Innovations in Endodontic Obturation

Event type: Webinar
Speaker: Dr. Gary Glassman
Once the root canal system has been debrided and disinfected, it must be obturated in three dimensions to complete the triad of the objectives of endodontic treatment. This CE webinar will focus on evidence based research on sealing the root canal system with respect to obturation in three dimensions and restoration of the endodontically treated tooth. Focus will be on the Continuous Wave of Condensation.

Which Tooth Is It? Endo Case Selection & Treatment Planning

Event type: Webinar
Speaker: Dr. John Olmsted
Have you ever been concerned with the decision to proceed with endodontic treatment or to be in a “holding pattern“? Endodontics requires a high level of technical skills and biological understanding. In this CE webinar, Dr. Olmsted will share his 15 steps for endodontic diagnosis, allowing the clinician and staff to consider appropriate case selection and treatment planning.

Trending in Endodontics: #Irrigation

Event type: Webinar
Speaker: Dr. Brett Gilbert
This webinar is designed to present the latest innovations in endodontic irrigation. As our endodontic instruments have achieved an extraordinary ability to shape our canals, it is the chemical debridement with irrigation that we rely on to cleanse the root canal spaces. Given that our instruments do not reach the majority of the canal wall surfaces, we now are depending on newer and more innovative ways to safely and thoroughly irrigate the root canal system anatomy. This presentation will cover the trending irrigation methods and devices used for ultrasonic activated irrigation, negative pressure irrigation, laser activated irrigation and a multisonic irrigation method.

Sealing the Root Canal System: The Continuous Wave of Condensation

Event type: Webinar
Speaker: Dr. Gary Glassman
Debridement and disinfection of the root canal system is of paramount importance in order to achieve the biologic imperative of root canal treatment; that being to eliminate and/or prevent apical periodontitis. Once the smear layer and biofilm is removed, the root canal system must be obturated in three dimensions to prevent leakage then subsequently restored to bring the tooth back into normal function.
This CE webinar will focus on evidence based research on sealing the root canal system with respect to obturation in three dimensions and restoration of the endodontically treated tooth. Focus will be on the Continuous Wave of Condensation.

Advance Your Endo with Apical Negative Pressure Irrigation

Event type: Webinar
Speaker: Dr. Brett Gilbert
This CE webinar is designed to present the latest innovation in endodontic irrigation. Endodontic rotary instruments have achieved an extraordinary ability to shape canals but it is the chemical debridement with irrigation that we rely on to truly cleanse the root canal systems. Given that our instruments do not reach the majority of the canal wall surfaces, we now are depending on newer and more innovative techniques and technology to thoroughly irrigate the root canal anatomy while still protecting the periapical tissues. This CE webinar will include discussion on the apical negative pressure technique. Included in the discussion is a specific irrigation device that can be used to effectively deliver apical negative pressure during irrigation.

Endodontic Breakthroughs: NiTi Shaping Protocol Ensuring Endodontic Predictability

Event type: Webinar
Speaker: Dr. Gary Glassman
This webinar will address breakthrough shaping and irrigation concepts and detail the skills necessary for acquiring the expertise and confidence to perform the highest quality endodontics. The participants of this presentation will become familiar with the use of the “apex last” approach to canal shaping with nickel-titanium instrumentation using the TFA™ (Twisted File) Adaptive System, using Adaptive Motion Technology. Learn how Adaptive Motion technology provides the advantages of rotary and reciprocation but minimizes the disadvantages of both. The continuous feedback loop from file to motor allows the movement of the file to self adjust to the intracanal torsional stresses providing effective and most importantly safe root canal shaping.

Classroom Superior Root Canal Disinfection Leading to Increased Endodontic Success

Event type: Webinar
Presenter: Garry Bey, D.D.S.
Successful endodontic therapy is dependent upon the removal of microorganisms from the root canal system. Much emphasis in endodontics during the last 20 years has been directed toward more efficient ways to "shape" the root canal system. Endodontic files fabricated from nickel-titanium alloys and a variety of sophisticated rotary systems have allowed us to shape root canals better than we have ever done in the past. Then why have endodontic outcome studies failed to show an increase in endodontic success? The answer is that no file has ever disinfected a root canal system. Irrigants and how they are delivered is how we can disinfect a root canal system. This, in turn, leads to increased success.
On the surface this might seem easy to accomplish. Through further investigation, we understand that this is not the case. Traditional irrigation involves using a needle to inject irrigants into the root canal system via positive pressure. This is not only ineffective in the critical apical one-third, it can also be dangerous depending on the irrigants used. Studies show that apical negative pressure irrigation is a safe and effective way to disinfect the entire root canal system. This CE webinar will cover apical negative pressure irrigation and an advanced instrumentation technique that facilitates its use.
